Artist Designer Consultant

I am a Māori visual artist and curator whose practice is grounded in mātauranga Māori, translating whakapapa, iwi narratives, and environmental relationships into contemporary visual language. My creative process is iterative and relational—drawing from natural forms, weaving traditions, and the rhythms of whenua to develop patterns that balance structure and movement. Through this approach, I create work that is both culturally anchored and responsive to modern spaces, embedding storytelling, identity, and connection into everyday environments.
Artist Designer Fabricator

I am an experienced artist, designer and fabricator with a deep knowledge in construction and engineering with is utilised within the wide scope of works completed within major public art projects, shared pathway walkways, bridges and passenger rail access points.

I prefer to work with my hands created art work mainly from metal, stone and wood. I make large sculptures and unique jewellery. This compliments my art and design consultancy work.

I enjoy working in my studio in Waitomo as the landscape above and below the ground inspires ideas.
